As a Media Strategist/Writer for LightQuest, Jamie Gaylor is always on a journey filled with goals and obstacles, discoveries and stimulations, insights and unique horizons. Since her start in the media business in 1999, Jamie has been thrilled to help her clients navigate through difficult media challenges to find a winning solution and a clear media vision.
Jamie’s years as a media strategist have given her tools she is grateful to put to use for the clients she serves. “I was just out of college when I started work in the media business. Over ten years later, I have learned so much about the media world – secular, Christian, and new media included. I truly enjoy working on behalf of our clients to seek out the best media deals. I like the hunt! It gives me great satisfaction to find not just a good media option but media that is the perfect fit for a client.”
It’s that analytical thinking that gives her a unique eye to see diverse solutions in all her areas of expertise, be it writing gripping copy to brainstorming event promotions. She tackles problems with respect and courtesy for her clients and a joy to constantly learn and evolve.
One of Jamie’s favorite quotes for her work comes from Martin Luther King, Jr.: “Don’t just set out to do a good job. Set out to do such a good job that the living, the dead or the unborn couldn't do it any better. If it falls your lot to be a street sweeper, sweep streets like Michelangelo painted pictures, sweep streets like Beethoven composed music…sweep streets like Shakespeare wrote poetry. Sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will have to pause and say: Here lived a great street sweeper who swept his job well.”
Her work day is full of a million little details and pieces of information. But she finds joy in the small things, and gets a lot of personal satisfaction from doing things right. “I take pride in figuring out a tough problem, in pulling all of the pieces of a complex media campaign together, in learning something new.” No matter how big or how small – Jamie is committed to excellent execution.
At the end of the day, Jamie heads home to her husband Richard, her daughter Zoe. And that’s when her day starts all over again!
