Cynthia Johnston smiles even when she’s on the phone.
Call it her perspective on life, her positive attitude, a belief joy even crosses through telephone wires, or maybe she has a facial tick. Cynthia is having fun and isn’t afraid to show it…even when no one is looking.
As the Director of Operation and Finance, Cynthia is emerged in details – details that protect the client’s interests, details that safeguard the client’s ministry, details that save the client money. She thrives behind the scenes, checking and rechecking the business of helping others.
“I love taking care of our customers and helping them do the job God called them to do while I do what God has called me to do,” she says. “I work each day like I am working for God.”
Cynthia came to LightQuest after a prestigious 10-year career as vice-president of operations in the banking industry followed by an enriching 10-year career in the media business. But if you ask her about her life achievements, she’s more likely to mention her four children – Zachary, Kristen, Katrina, and Nick – or her State Fair ribbons in photography.
She describes herself as a woman with a hunter’s spirit, finding the best deal for the best quality. “Why would you ever want to pay full price when you can get it on sale?” she asks. Since she understands the thrill of saving money, she reciprocates that for LightQuest clients, a job she does with eagerness…right after her morning cup of coffee.
Outside of work, Cynthia takes her thirst for joy on the open road, watching the scenery of life on the back of a Harley with her husband, Tim. “When on the Harley, I love the feel of the total freedom of life. Sometimes, I shut my eyes, lift my face to the sun, and am immersed in the awesomeness of God.”
